Daphine

Daphine experienced heartbreaking challenges at a very young age. She tragically lost her mother in May 2020 and initially resided with her paternal relatives while her father, fulfilled his duties as a police officer at Mukono Central Police Station. Her life took a painful turn when her father was involved in a severe accident in March 2022, which left him mentally incapacitated and unable to provide care. Consequently, Daphine found herself without any form of dependable support or protection.

The Mukono Child and Family Protection Unit, in collaboration with the probation office, reached out to Good Future and Hope on March 15, 2022, seeking urgent assistance for Daphine. She was admitted to Good Future and Hope Children’s Home, where she is currently receiving the care and shelter she desperately needed.

Daphine is a bright, resilient, and resourceful child. She has shown incredible strength despite the difficulties she has faced. At Good Future and Hope, she has started attending school regularly and is eager to learn. Her favorite activities include drawing, reading stories, and playing with her peers. Daphine dreams of becoming a teacher one day, as she wants to create a brighter future for herself and inspire others.
