If you’re considering sponsoring a child and want to learn more, you’re in the right place! We're here to assist you. Our child sponsorship programs share love and empower children, their families, and communities to overcome poverty. To help you get started, here are the top FAQs about sponsoring a child.
It means you commit to a monthly/yearly financial commitment to support a child's upbringing at GFaH. We offer partial sponsorship or full sponsorship. Minimum duration is one year. The child will be informed about your commitment, and we will arrange for the exchange of letters, videos, and photos. We will not encourage direct contact via social media to avoid others exploiting the relationship. Therefore, we keep your contact data fully confidential.
Every photo we share, every name, are real children with GFaH. We are not advertising for third parties. We adhere to local laws and regulations, so all children under our care come with official care orders. We are audited by the Ministry Of Gender on a frequent basis and fully adhere to their standards and regulations.
In case of partial sponsorship, this can be the case. There will be never more than 4 sponsors for the same child. Ideally, we have a 1:1 relationship for the sponsorships. However, given the financial commitment, we also embrace partial sponsorships.
Additionally, you will receive a special video message or greeting from your sponsored child, allowing you to see and hear from them directly. The format of these messages will vary depending on the child's age, ensuring that the communication is both appropriate and meaningful.
We understand how important it is for you to stay connected with your sponsored child's journey. To keep you updated on their progress, we provide detailed updates twice a year. These updates will include information about their academic achievements, personal growth, and any significant milestones they have reached.
