Musa

Musa is a resilient 6-year-old boy who, alongside his two siblings, Shamira and Shakira, has already faced significant hurdles in life. Musa and his siblings were born to their biological mother, Prossy, a 25-year-old who lives with multiple disabilities, including being deaf and having mental health challenges. Prossy's disabilities have made it difficult for her to provide the care and support her children need.

Their story came to light when a social worker at Kamuli General Hospital reached out to the local probation officer.Prossy had arrived at the hospital with her three children from an unknown location and had been living on the hospital premises, often sleeping both inside and outside the wards. Despite the hospital staff's efforts to assist them, no sustainable solution could be found to support the mother and her children.

Recognizing the children’s vulnerable state, the probation and social welfare officer contacted Good Future and HopeMinistries for assistance. After further coordination with the probation office in Mukono, approval was granted to provide care and protection for the children. Musa and his siblings were officially received by Good Future andHope Ministries on April 23, 2024.

Currently, Musa and his siblings receive care and education with the help of Good Future and Hope Ministries. They are enrolled in the Good Future and Hope Junior School, where they live in the boarding section during the school term. During holidays, the children visit their paternal uncle, who was traced by the organization.

Musa is a bright and enthusiastic child whois determined to make the most of the opportunities provided to him. Through the support of sponsorship, Musa can continue his education, enjoy nutritious meals, and have a safe and nurturing environment to grow.
