Gloria

Gloria’s early childhood has been marked by significant challenges. She was identified as a malnourished child by the village health team due to her mother’s inability to provide adequate care. Her mother struggled with mental illness and lived in unstable conditions, which led to Gloria being exposed to an unsafe environment. Recognizing her vulnerable situation, Gloria was withdrawn by the Community Development Officer of Katosi town council and referred to the probation officer of Mukono. From there, she was placed in Good Future and Hope children’s home for her safety and well-being.

Gloria is now receiving comprehensive care, including health services, psycho-social support, and nutritional supplementation. She is under the close supervision of the children’s home as efforts are being made to secure a long-term foster care family who can provide her with the stability, love, and support she deserves.
